Dahl, Dhal, Daal, or Dal is an Indian or Nepalese legume dish. There are over fifty varieties of dahl or legume dishes. Mung Dal is a well-known one.
It can be eaten as a main course or as a side dish, always with a piece of naan for dipping and soaking up all the sauce!
