Special “Sleeping” Night Cream / Crème de nuit spécial « Bonne nuit »

So my night routine includes cleaning my skin with

just tempered water (sometimes I apply coconut oil and clean with hot water) and then with my face toner.

I spray my face with rose hydrolate/water and while it’s still moist, I apply my night cream.

This special “Sleeping” night cream is made with ingredients helping a deeper sleep.

What are those ingredients?

  • Raw cold pressed Coconut oil
  • A mix of vegetable oils (Evening Primrose, Jojoba, Avocado, Borage, Rosehip)
  • Beeswax
  • Vetiver Essential oil
  • Lavender Essential oil
  • Sage Essential oil

*All ingredients are organic and comes from my local bulk stores.

In health,

Magnesium Bath Salt

Magnesium is good for many things including muscle pain, anxiety, skin irritation, wounds…

It’s best absorbed by skin as opposed to internally.

This explains my use of it in my bath.

At least once a week, I soak in this Magnesium rich bath salt. Don’t worry I wash myself more often than that 😉 I shower and dry brush… but I will talk about that in a another post!

I make my bath salt with

  • Magnesium flakes (also called nigari)
  • Sea salt of Guerande
  • And add essential oils (lavender is my favorite but I change according to season and the little soars my family can have. For example, if someone have a cold, I use eucalyptus)

I Mix all the ingredients and transfert to a glass jar.

I Throw a scoop in the bath under running water and relax 😌

Do you like soaking yourself in your bath? Do you add anything in it? Tell me!

Hydrating body butter

Hydrating Body Butter

Soft and smooth skin for a young and vibrant look

Elasticity of the skin is very important if you want to look young.

My regular go to recipe for an hydrating cream is this body butter.

Here is the list of the ingredients I use :

  • Shea butter (raw, unrefined and organic)
  • Cocoa butter (raw, unrefined and organic)
  • Coconut oil (cold press, extra virgin and organic)
  • Sweet almond oil (cold press and organic)
  • Jojoba oil (organic)
  • wheat germ oil (cold press extra virgin and organic)
  • Olive  oil or Argan oil (cold press extra virgin and organic)
  • Essential oils (organic) *

* neroli, lavender, santal, patchouli or any of your choice, but make sure it’s not photosynthetic (an oil that reacts to sun )

Lets bring these ingredients into a body butter…

Melt the butters first over medium heat in a bain-marie (hot water bath)

Remove from heat and add the vegetable and essential oils.

Let it cool in the refrigerator. When hard and cold, it is ready to use and keep in your cabinet.

Try it and let me know what you think. Do you make your own? Tell me about it!
