How a short daily mindfulness practice transforms my energy and my days as a mom.
Whenever possible—ideally every single day—I carve out 15 to 20 minutes of quiet time just for myself to meditate.
I usually schedule this peaceful break at two key moments in my routine:
- Early in the morning: before the house wakes up, to set a positive tone, focus my mind, and start the day with clarity.
- In the late afternoon: right before the kids come home from school, to hit the reset button, release accumulated stress, and be truly present and mindful with my family.
🧘♀️ My Practice: Mantras and Breathwork
My go-to approach involves using mantras. I trained at the Maharishi School of Meditation, where I received a personalized mantra, but I also enjoy working with other specific mantras depending on what area of my life I want to nurture.
On other days, I keep it grounded and simple: I close my eyes and follow the natural flow of my breath, practicing pure mindfulness.
No matter which style I choose, this daily ritual does wonders for my mental balance, physical health, and overall well-being.
Over to you!
